| Dr. James I. Bicher,
Curriculum Vitae I was born in San Cristobal, Santa Fe, Argentina, in 1937. My father was a
lawyer, and my mother a dentist. I was the only child.
My family moved to a small town, called Villa Angela, Chaco Province,
where I spend my teen years. By the time I finish high school, my family
wanted to move to Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, where I could
study medicine, in the
University of Buenos
Aires Medical School. I started the medical school in 1n
1954.
In 1956 our family emigrated to Israel. I was serving in the war as a
physician, many times very close to the front lines. It was a very interesting
and formative experience.
I finished my medical studies in the
M.D. Hadassah
Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel, in 1962.
