Alternative Prostate Cancer TreatmentSurvivor – Low Sexual Side Effects

An informal interview with a “graduate” patient from Valley Cancewr Institute, the moment he was leaving the clinic.

A fresh video testimony, telling his experience at the institute and with the Hyperthermia combined with low-dose-fractionated-radiation Prostate Cancer Treatment.

Interview Transcript of the video interview:

CDC: After the conventional treatment, either radiation, surgery, or chemotherapy, when you finish that treatment I do not think you will look as good as you look now.

M: I actually have a friend who got diagnosed with prostate cancer while I was here. I told him about this place, and I told him, you know, very, very encouraged by my PSA, it’s going down fast, I feel great. He went with the surgery. He decided that he was going to go with the surgery. He felt more comfortable doing that. It was quicker, he didn’t have to, you know, give the commitment every day here. He could go in, be out two days in the hospital and be done. Since that happen, he is now dealing with the side effects, and he is not happy, and because we did it at the same time, he can see that I’m fine, and I fell fine, and my energy level is good. I’m very glad that I made this choice. Where he is right now he is not so glad, because he says he has a long road ahead of dealing with, how is the body changed. Right now to be honest with you I feel bad for him but I told him about this place.

CDC: I’m very happy you decided to be one of the few crazy ones that (laughter)

M: Well, you know, I’ll say it again, the videos of the website made the difference, because when I was checking I read a lot of those websites, and you don’t really you get the human part when you read it, and you get to see somebody talking about their experience, that sold me, and I am in advertising, and I know how to sell people and the way to sell people is with a human connection

CDC: Then I have a question for you, because if you are in advertisement, could you see that it was a genuine video? There wasn’t an actor behind the camera?

M: Absolutely, absolutely. In fact like that it was very amateur and rough looking and it wasn’t polish, because I believe the person talking because it wasn’t in a set, it wasn’t trying to make it pretty. I was listening to what he was saying more than looking at what it was all about. So I believed it, no problem.

CDC: So when we move to Beverly Hills I will do it more professional.

M: Please don’t! don’t, you should do it just like this because it looks more real

CDC: Thank you so much. One more question. It was a long journey, 5 months is a long time, but does your wife thinks

M: She saw me going through all the journey finding out all about this Prostate Cancer does to you, what your choices are. Right before all these started my brother’s wife died of cancer. So was, this is a bad time for me to find out I had cancer. We just lost him. In fact the day he died I found out I had cancer, the day I got the call. She, after seeing all the kind of treatment you can get, she was confused, listening to people who did not know about alternative treatments. People that trust doctors no matter what they tell you, instead of king of finding out for your self. After a while she just realized that together, if we both felt good about it, once we came out here, we had to have the consultation, and I met with Dr Wolfstein, after talking to him I felt 100% confident. I knew this is what I was going to do, and I was going to hope this was going to work, I’ve seen things working and for the most part, she just felt relief that we found a place that actually we could go to, that offered something that it wasn’t surgery.

CDC: I can tell that you are kind of lucky that your wife supported you all through

M: All the time, in fact to be honest with you I think that helps for the most part because, let’s face it you, you are driving to Los Angeles back and forth, between the drive and the actual treatment that I do, I will leave my house at 7:00 o’clock in the morning and may be get home about 2:00pm. So, that is pretty much an all day type of thing. Because she is there to support me, it makes the drive all worth it. It really does, because every time I get all those PSA tests, you know, it is like a report card, you did really well (laughter!) you know! And that is what we look forward too. Like every two or three weeks, just to see what those (PSA tests) were all about. Without the support it’s tough to do it by your self.

CDC: Do you have kids?

M: No kids. We decided not to have kids, we have carriers unfortunately

CDC: Are you coming back to work?

M: I start Monday

CDC: Congratulations!

M: I start Monday. They are exited to have me. I worked there for 11 years, and when I started this treatment the owner of the company had gone through breast cancer, and she said: “Don’t worry; your job will be waiting for you”. That makes a huge difference; again lower the stress levels, makes the heal faster.

CDC: Thank you very much M for talking to us.

M: Sure, glad to do it

Summary Description from You Tube:

(Prostate Cancer Survivor) No Erectile Dysfunction with Hyperthermia, an Alternative Prostate Cancer Treatment.

Hyperthermia combined with low-dose-radiation as is given at the Valley Cancer Institute in Los Angeles California, has VERY LOW OR NO SIDE EFFECTS.

2/3 of “graduated” patients at VCI report increase on libido, and normal or better sexual functions. The reason why? Very simple:

    - NO SURGERY
    - NO CHEMOTHERAPY
    - NO HIGH-DOSE-RADIATION OR RADIATION ALONE

Hyperthermia is the simple application of heat to the tumor cancer area, which has NO SIDE SEXUAL EFFECTS. The low-dose-radiation allows the body to recover from it very easily. If complemented with a healthy diet and exercise, the cancer treatment results with Hyperthermia are even better and faster.

Prostate Cancer Treatment Alternative – Low Sexual Side Effects

Video interview to a “graduate” patient from Valley Cancer Institute, who chose a less toxic prostate cancer treatment, which, as he said, had no sexual side effects in his case.

    Interview:

When I did find out I had cancer, I had the typical diet of the typical American. Hamburgers, red meat, sugar, whatever. And I went on a very very strict diet. No sugar, no processed food, no red meat, no soda, no wine, no alcohol. Extremely strict diet.
C. Was it hard for you to change?
For the first two weeks, it was incredibly hard. Nothing tasted good. I was n’ hungry. One of the things that helped a lot, was that my wife did it with me. So we both pretty much went through two weeks of not liking what we were eating. And sure enough, after a little while, it got to the point where I got used to it. And it was delicious. I am sure if I went to the other way, I used to eat, it probably would be a very foreign taste. It would be very salty, a lot of sugar.. So I was trying to go for a healthier lifestyle, figuring, if I get myself as healthy as possible, when I have to deal with the prostate cancer, weather it ‘s surgery or something else, I ‘d try to be as healthy as I could.

C. Do you think it pays off?
Yes. I think that was probably a big part of me getting healthy.
C. Can you describe how the hyperthermia treatment was, in combination with the low dose radiation that you received? Let’s say for a person that does n’t know what it is like. You can explain very briefly.
OK. Basically with me, I had two treatments of hyperthermia every day. It’s pretty much where you have heat applied directly to the area where your tumors are for 40- 45 minutes.
C. Is it uncomfortable?
No. You are lying in a bed. It is not uncomfortable. It can get warm. Every time they give you a bell, you ring the bell and someone is there instantly to help you and make sure you are comfortable. So I was never by myself thinking that nobody was there taking care of me.
C. So how long did it take for the two treatments?
Two treatments were probably about an hour and a half. And then from there, radiation. Radiation was about.. from the time you go there and do your treatments, a half an hour.
C. For how long did you receive the treatment?
For almost five months.
C. Almost five months.. It was a long journey.
But, do you live in the area.
I live about two and a half hours away, in Orange County, so I drove every day.
C. So you were able to keep your normal life? Working..?
I didn’t work. I was going to try to go back to my job, and I tried for two weeks, but the radiation made me tired, in the very beginning. Just the whole change in my life, you know coming here, the hours spent, driving back home, it made me tired. So I felt I should probably go on disability, focus my attention in getting healthy. Less stress. I could really concentrate making it hear every day, I did n’t skip any days. Yeah.. I wanted to make sure that I gave this an 100% shot.
C. That’s a very wise decision, because health is the most important thing.
Well, you figure it this way. Sometimes you feel good, even though you might not be. So, when the doctors are telling you to do something, they know more than me, even though I might be feeling great.. If they are telling me to do something, I want to follow it through.
C. Do you have any side effects?
Right now, because I am still under treatment, tomorrow is my last day, urinating can be a little troublesome. They give you pills for it, it’s not a big deal.
C. These side effects, will they last?
It will all go away. Other side effects.. To be honest with you, in the very beginning, the first month is the most difficult, because of the radiation. You are getting radiation in your body, the hyperthermia.. Your body just goes through a lot of different changes. Because they have told me that, when you have hyperthermia and radiation, the area they are working on, will swell. So that makes you feel different too. But then you adjust to it and then things start to reduce, and then you are on your way to getting better.

Prostate Cancer Treatment Alternative – Low Sexual Side Effects

Part I of a video interview with a “graduate” prostate cancer patient from Valley Cancer Institute

The following is the transcription of the same below video interview:

    Interview:

C. How did you realize that there were some health concerns?
My brother had gone in for a physical and found out he has prostate cancer and told me that I should check it out because it was running in our family.
All the guys had it.
C. Like your father…?
My dad, my uncle, my brother and me.
C. Interesting.
Yeah. So I went and got checked out, had a high PSA, got a biopsy and found out that I had it.
C. And what was your reaction? As a human being and as a man?
First I was confused, cause I did n’t feel bad. Then I was scared. Then, after I had done all my research, I was angry.
Because there were so many different ways to go, but if you tried anything outside of the normal, doctors.. Every thought you were crazy.
So you really did not have a lot of support when you wanted to try something alternative.
C. So it was a tough decision for you?
Very tough.
C. What was the first option that was offered to you?
Surgery.
C. Surgery.. What did you say to them?
Since I have never had any surgery of any kind, I was very shocked and I told him.. He wanted to give me surgery within a week.. and I said ok. Then I went home, got on the internet, started learning what this was all about, my choices.. Then I called him back and I said I was going to try something else and I was n’t going to do the surgery.
C. And what did the doctor tell you?
He said it was a mistake and that “people will tell you anything to make you feel good”; to be careful and to call him in six months, cause I would probably need to talk to him anyway.
C. Will you talk to him?
I can’t wait to call him! Because he ‘s never been really supportive of anything other than just surgery.
C. When you started looking in the internet, what were you looking for specifically?
I was looking for alternate cancer treatments. That is what I googled.. You obviously get a list of hundreds and hundreds of different treatments, but what I was looking for was two things.
One was hopefully in Southern California, since I live here, and the other one was to have a proven track record and possibly some videos of people that actually went through the program.
Instead of just reading it, it’s so much better to hear someones’ own words, and you can kind of judge for yourself. So, that’s how I did it.
C. And did we have any on our website?
Yeah. Actually on your website you had two videos of prostate cancer patients.
C. I remember. The one with the wife and the one guy by himself.
Both of them were very compelling to me. They did n’t try to sell. They just told what their experience was. And that was what I was looking for. To find out from the patient, what the experience was, as opposed to somebody trying to sell me on something.
C. So you found on the internet Valley Cancer Institute quickly? Or you had to go through some research?
Actually, I went through quite a bit of research, because when I got the list of Google, I must have gotten close to 300 names. Like I said, I started to break them down by Geography, I wanted them to be in California, then hopefully Southern California and just by going through all the lists of all the names, I found VCI.
C. We believe that our treatment has amongst the best results and also the lowest side effects.
Was one of those or the two, a factor to make your decision?
Very much so. One thing is with surgery, there are a lot of side effects.
C. Can you mention? Do you remember?
Yes. With surgery, you would n’t be able to get an erection, you would have problems urinating, you would probably have to wear something, because urination was incontinent. Because of that, it changes your life and I did n’t think.. I am fifty two years old. I thought I had enough life ahead of me and I wanted to try something else.
Once I found out that those were the side effects of surgery, I wanted to find out what the side effects were of this treatment and that’s why the videos were very helpful, because both of the guys said, the side effects were very minimal if any. And long lasting side effects were none.
C. You decided to look for alternative treatments because of the side effects of surgery or because you wanted to lead healthy life.
A healthy life, because also, when I found out I had cancer, I went to a very strict diet.

The doctors at Valley Cancer Institute would like to discuss your questions with you!

Please, ask any question you may have regarding the clinical use of Hyperthermia cancer treatment.

The doctor’s answers are not in lieu of a regular medical consultation.

Hyperthermia combined with low dose radiation is a very effective treatment for most cases of cancer. The side effects are minimum, and the body has the ability to recover from the low dose radiation in most cases.

Administering radiation therapy through IMRT reduces even more the posibilities of having side effects
